A Gift for Abuelo is a poignant and beautiful story of Hericel, a young boy, who honors his grandfather by protecting the endangered Olive Ridley turtles that nest on the beach near his home.

The film is accompanied by six additional videos that offer a window onto Hericel's daily life on the Pacific Coast of Oaxaca.
