Tijuana Service Trip

Students in grades 10 through 12 are welcome to join a one-week service trip to Tijuana, Mexico with Esperanza International during the first week of Spring Break 2015. We will drive down on Sunday, April 5 and work Monday through Friday. Saturday is free to visit the beach and relax. We will return to California  on Sunday, April 12.

Please note: This is NOT a school trip. Students must have a valid passport to participate.

About Esperanza International

  

 

 

Esperanza International works with Fundación Esperanza de México (FEM), to provide international service experiences for our volunteer groups in Tijuana, México.  FEM hosts groups of volunteers to help build homes and work on other projects in the under-served communities of Tijuana.  Volunteer groups work for 3 to 10 days in an immersion experience of Mexican culture, socio-economic development, and leadership building.

 

Cultivating Global Citizens

Through international service experiences, Esperanza International volunteers become global citizens who are better prepared for the complex challenges of an inter-dependent world.

Costs

Fees and lodging and lunch for a trip of five work days and six nights costs $700, including the fees to Esperanza, trip leader, breakfasts, dinners and rental van and Mexican auto insurance.

Group

Limited to seven students in 10th-12th grade.
